Deciduous tree with single, deep red flower buds opening to a purplish red fading to purplish pink. Small, oxblood red fruit.  Performs best in full sun.  Grows to a height of 15-20' with a spread of 15-20'.  Best when used as an accent or specimen.  Prefers soil that is heavy loam type, moist and acidic.  Very good disease resistance.
