Great News! The Whittington Residence with landscaping designed by Chris H. Olsen and completed by Botanica Gardens will be featured on the 2013 Greater Little Rock Council of Garden Clubs Spring Tour.

The Whittington landscape was designed by Chris H. Olsen and the installation was by Botanica Gardens of Little Rock. This home and garden blend "old world" charm with contemporary elements of design. The garden in Chris' words is "a jhemajang of different styles with the end result being a balance of perfection". Jhemajang is the mixing up and arranging of different elements, both garden and unrelated, in a funky way that blends pieces into a harmonious grouping. From an expansive front lawn, to lush flowerbeds with a twist, to detailed hardscape such as a fireplace, outdoor kitchen area, and a delightful pool and pool side, the Whittington house is a Hillcrest gem.

Botanica Gardens will also participate in another home featured on the tour - the Mark and Denise Nichols home. Look for it while on the tour as well.

The thirteenth annual Spring Garden Tour sponsored by the Greater Little Rock Council of Garden Clubs will take place Saturday, June 1, 2013 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Sunday, June 2, 2013 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. This year’s tour will be comprised of numerous private gardens in Little Rock and possibly some public spaces.  Our theme this year is “Urban Delight - Practical Gerdening in the City”.
