"Border Patrol"
If you are like Chris, you are addicted to plants. Plants are his life!! Toa a person with a plant addiction, open space in a garden is wasted space. Exposed areas of mulch are ideal areas for additional plants. Most of us neglect that space up front along our flower bed borders. Border plants usually are the most interesting and therefore demand up front attention. They visually are noticed up close and personal. Border plants can be perennial or seasonal. Besides using plants, dress up a border with collectibles such as old antique watering cans. Chris will entertain you with cool and "one of a kind" ideas that will give your yard a great and lasting first impression.
"Color Your World"
Life is too short for drab!! Spice up your garden with vibrant colorful plants that will turn a cloudy day into a cheerful and joyful occasion. Color is impulsive, primitive, advancing, positive, and just plain refreshing. Chris is best known for his use of color in the garden. Never be afraid to express yourself through color. Chris will teach you how to add color using several different sources: Annuals, perennials, and vibrant foliage plants. The combination of all three will "color your world".
Arkansas Flower and Garden Show
Chris has been a featured speaker at the annual Arkansas Flower and Garden Show which is held the first weekend of March every year at the beautiful downtown Little Rock Convention Center for the past several years. Chris's nursery, Botanica Gardens, maintains a booth at the convention each year as well. Make sure to come and see Chris and the rest of the Botanica crew! Prior to 2005, Chris's designs won the People's Choice Award at the convention for nine straight years!
